These are the final 8x8s for the Big 500 show which opens Dec. 12, 2015 from 2-9pm in People's Art, Mark Woolley, and the galleries on the 4th floor of Pioneer Mall. I now have a total of 14 paintings to submit... almost twice as many as last year. I would have liked to do more, but two weeks of being sick didn't help my production out at all!

These are so fun to do because I try different approaches, and have a different surface underneath the paintings this time. It's got pumice in it or something--makes the surface scratchy so the brush drags across it nicely.

Delivering at the last minute (Thursday), so they'll be as dry as possible.

I will probably just get these two done this week, what with an out-of-town visitor arriving soon. Actually, the second one needs some tweaking, but will have to wait. (Rome wasn't built in a day! Arh Arh)

First four for the Big 500
